Reflecting after the Primal Diet™ Conference, what a beautiful scene, people of all ages and all levels of commitment, eating raw meat and not having to explain themselves to anyone!!
We participated in the butchering, watched cheese, butter and lube drink making demonstrations. We were inspired by Amos Miller, Jim Ellingson, Louis Cangemi, Owanza, and Kimberly Williams. We clarified Aajonus’ work and gathered new insights. We made natural cutting boards and had personal exchanges in the men’s and women’s groups. We made merry music around the evening campfire. (Aajonus is rolling his eyes at the thought of us breathing in the smoke.) We met coaches, bodyworkers, and enthusiastic young leaders who are committed to carrying the Primal Diet™ torch.
Integrating all of this, to see all the young people turning to the Primal Diet™ to support their wellness and watching parents raising their children on a Primal lifestyle gives me hope.
We are fulfilling our mission to promote optimal health through eating raw meats, fats, and dairy aligning with the wisdom of nature following the life works of Aajaonus Vonderplanitz.
Healthy Places to Live – Primal Diet™ Community, Farm, Retreat and School
As we continue this mission, we will look at healthy places to live and resources and guidelines for finding land to build Primal Diet™ communities, farms, retreats, and schools. This was an integral part of Aaajous’ mission that he was working on when he died and one of our primary focus’ now.
As it becomes more difficult to find the food that we need, as government continues to fail us with life-taking mandates and germ theory propaganda, we must abandon efforts to convince legislators to save us and our planet from destruction, and build a grassroots network of Primal Diet™ communities, farms, health retreats, and schools. We must partner up with other health freedom organizations and services who can help us create our own private utilities, transportation, food, clothing, and building supply manufacturing with skill building classes and distribution. We are at the bottom of the chain in the eyes of most government and corporate entities. Because of this, we need to come together now and share resources, skills, and protect and create the lifestyle and life that we want and need to thrive and support our children to prosper.
This may sound all doom and gloom, and it is depressing if we focus on the problem for too long. However, focusing on the solution can be uplifting and empowering.
Spending 4-days with Primal Dieter’s together at the conference is the seed for growing this larger vision of living together in a network of healthy, conscious humans committed to growing food and teaching our children and adults the Primal Planitz lifestyle.
I have been doing research over the last 40 years, watching global trends, and evaluating healthy locations to live that will give us the best chance of success. We’ve been looking at how well locations avoid man-made toxins, their political repression and restrictions, enhanced human freedoms and happiness, fertile soil, abundance of fresh water, and desirable climate.
The landscape is evolving and more is being revealed
20-years ago the places that topped this list in most categories to include the quality of life, ability to make a living, low crime, green energy, abundance of fertile soil, access to seafood, meat and dairy animals, higher consciousness thinking with strong social programs including free education, leaders in the organic, GMO-free movement were New Zealand, Scandinavia, Uruguay, Costa Rica, and Canada. Cities in the states that led the pack were San Jose, Provo, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, San Diego, Albany, Burlington, Austin, and Boulder.
These were some of the indexes that I researched that compiled this data:

Environmental Toxins
In recent years, we began to understand more of the complexities about soil, air, and water toxicity. Most fresh water sources in the world are polluted from industry. Most rivers have either been corrupted from mining run-off, chemical fertilizer runoff, and topsoil erosion from annual crop farming. 5G is taking over the planet with cellphone radiation. Petroleum drilling, fracking, refineries, coal burning, and nuclear waste are all polluting the waterways making many regions dead zones.
Cities, in general, have become unsustainable toxin cesspools and many rural areas especially in states with the LEAST restrictions house the most abuse (like Tennessee, Louisiana, Oklahoma, West Virginia).
Unfortunately the rest of the globe is just as toxic or more than the United States. China, Russia, Europe, Africa, South America, India, Australia have all been exploited. Perhaps Mongolia, Antarctica, parts of South America, Parts of Africa, and Northern Canada are still the most untouched and prove to be harsh climates to live in.

Nuclear Hazard
I believe one of the biggest considerations is the distance from nuclear power plants and waste dumps. Nuclear radiation is not something that you can detoxify with a little cilantro in your celery juice. It will dismember you and your children’s bodies. Europe is mostly powered by nuclear. Japan of course has been devastated by nuclear accidents and war. Living next to high mountain ranges like the Rockies, Andes, or Appalachian. The Southern Hemisphere is the safest. There are only a few nuclear power plants in the Southern Hemisphere. South America only has three (Argentina, Uruguay, and Southern Coastal Brazil). Wind and water currents mostly circulate in their given sphere. So, an accident or intentional detonation in the North Hemisphere will have the biggest impact on the North Hemisphere. On the East Coast of the United States, Southwest Virginia is the safest place, as a new plant is scheduled for construction West of Knoxville to add to the two already existing plants in Tennessee.

Food Freedom
Next, we begin filtering by states that have the least restrictions on raw dairy and least over site from the USDA. We are distracted to think that states where raw milk is legal is the best. This is not the case.
In states were it is legal there is the most government over site. Which is why Amos Miller is having so much trouble in Pennsylvania, a state where raw milk is legal. I spoke to several of the workers at Whole Foods in Pennsylvania and asked “Why don’t you sell raw milk in your stores while it is legal?” They responded with “Because you can catch diseases from raw milk.” So, as long as you allow the USDA to dictate what you do on your farm, you can legally sell in Pennsylvania.
The best states are ones where Herdshares are legal and have no government over site or reporting like Virginia, Indiana, and Kentucky. The Private Membership Agreement that Aajonus helped create is not standing the test of time. Staying out of court is the best strategy and attempting to change legislation is a waste of a lot of money on attorneys for one step forward and two steps back.
Health Freedom
In 2020, we were revealed new information about other valuable characteristics to look for in our sustainable and healthy land and living search. COVID-19 governor mandates and state laws clarified these political stances for us. In case you didn’t know Vaccinations are mandatory (no exceptions for religious or personal beliefs). You need to get an exception from a licensed physician in NY, CA, CT, MS, WV, and ME. I think West Virginia just passed legislation to allow religious exception. Yippie!
This means that during a plandemic, the only way you can avoid vaccinations in these states is by finding a sympathetic MD which is very hard to come by. Most countries in South America, Asia, Europe, Australia, were heavily mandated and walked in step with masks and social distancing. Parts of the United States ranked highest in standing up for health freedoms especially Missouri, Wyoming, and Tennessee.

- Bulgaria – lowest vaccine rate in EU

Midwifery
23 of the states that license have severe restrictions (everything from required physician permission to home birth to no HBACs to only certain types of midwives can attend home birth to required vaginal exams, required testing, required transfer if woman doesn’t “progress” according to the state, to outright making home birth midwifery illegal, etc.) on a woman’s right to choose. These states are: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wyoming. No state has rescinded nor lessened their restrictions.
Only Minnesota, Montana, Virginia, and Wisconsin license midwives without restricting women.
13 states do not license midwives and therefore do not restrict women’s choices – Connecticut, Hawaii, Kansas, Massachusetts (however, read article below), Mississippi, Missouri, Nevada, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon (voluntary licensure), Pennsylvania, Tennessee.
7 states do not license but make home birth midwifery illegal – Alabama, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky (no permits given since 1975), Nebraska, North Carolina and South Dakota.
Michigan just licensed and rules and regulations have not yet been written. West Virginia is licensed but I couldn’t find their regulations.

Education and Childhood Vaccination Freedom
How much over-site do you want around your child’s education and vaccinations? Homeschool laws are different in each state as far as what age you need to register your child and how much reporting is required. Some states require for vaccinations even if you homeschool. Some states the children can get vaccinated at school without notifying their parents. The most relaxed states on these issues are OK, TX, AK, IN, MO, ID
Vaccination of Livestock
States like Idaho, Western Montana, Western Wyoming require vaccination of all heifers which is important to note when choosing an area to raise chemical-free meat and dairy.
Observatory Quiet Zones
Areas around star gazing telescopes (like Spruce Pine, NC.) often have restrictions around light pollution, thus they are located in less populated rural regions. Beware of Quiet Zones, the most famous being in West Virginia, which outlaws cellphones and combustion engines to keep the interference away from the Listening Ear which seems nice, however, the Greenbrier, WV quiet zone is the US military spy center that Edward Snowden outed for collecting personal data without permission.
Summary
Cities are not sustainable. All the promising liberal regions of 20 years ago, like New Zeland, Canada, Australia, Vermont, and Portland showed their arse’s during covid which quickly plummeted their rating to the bottom of healthy places to live chart.
Look for regenerative farming communities with self-reliance skills. Amish Networks are strong and their community reliance and sustainability skills are strong.
Monitor trends of population growth and stay away from these. More people means less food per acre, more dependency on food and supplies from foreign areas, more energy and transportation requirements thus more pollution and environmental toxins (chlorine, fluoride, EMFs, auto exhaust, more concrete and plastic and less grass, fresh air and water.

Worldwide
In South America, I like the Andes the best; Asia – Mongolia, Bhutan, Nepal; In Africa – Tanzania and Madagascar; North America – North Canada; In the Pacific Islands – Tasmania.
Nowhere in Europe, Middle East, India, or China. Their resources other than oil and weapons are depleted and completely dependent on overseas colonies, overpopulated, toxic, political unrest, and vulnerable to nuclear disaster.
Chris’ experience in Nepal: It is undeveloped and outside of the main cities the air, water, and food is very clean. It is not as expensive as other Asian countries. There is minimal infrastructure so few cell towers outside of the cities. Locally raised animals and food, that is “organic are in quality. The geography is one of the most varied in all the world. From jungles to mountains, there is something for everyone. Nepal also gets a lot of sunshine, and this compounds at higher altitudes, which also has the added benefit of being less humid. There is a Newari dish called Kema, it is raw water buffalo meat with spices.
Cons – unstable government, which is driven by a very diverse and fragmented population- over 32 ethnic groups in the country alone. The geography also adds to this. Foreigners are not allowed to own property. People are generally friendly to outsiders, but especially in the cities, it is likely people will try to rip you off. Food and other goods maybe adulterated- dairy, oils, juices, etc. to make more money. The terai region (jungles) have more commercial farming and rising pesticide usage. The roads are quite unsafe, it is advised to travel by “tourist bus”, even the planes have a track record for crashing. Depending on your surrounding, it maybe hard to find lots of animal food such as meat and dairy, many families have this for sustenance but not to sell at scale also because other Nepalis do not have a lot of money. Earthquakes are a thing, and they can be devastating. In the monsoon season there are flooding and landslides, which may knock out roads for days.
The best time to travel to Nepal is October-April. To see famous lotus bloom you have to travel during monsoon season June-August. At higher altitudes and staying in a few places would reduce the troubles of the monsoon season. Watch out for leeches that drop from the trees during the wet season too. Mosquitoes are problematic in lower altitudes, places like the Terai.

My U.S. Recommendation:
It’s difficult to find a location that checks all the boxes. You might have to compromise on one value to support the values that are most important to you. My initial search years ago brought me to Asheville, NC. My current recommendations are just a few miles as the crow flies from there into the neighboring states. Southwest Virginia, Mountain City, Tenn., Sparta, NC, Ozark Mountains, Louisville, KY, Bloomington, IN, and Jackson, WY, but most importantly…
Live near aligned friends and community in rural organic farming areas.

Help launch our SW VA Primal Diet™ Community, Farm & Retreat
Several of us Primal Diet™ Coaches have been actively looking for land in Southwest Virginia to develop a Primal Diet™ Community, Farm, and Wellness Retreat. We have found a 288- acre property that checks all the boxes for the location and infrastructure we need to launch a successful farm, retreat, and community.
We are actively looking for investors who would like to sponsor this project as well as mature, committed individuals who would like to consider living here and supporting a Primal Diet™ farm and wellness retreat.
Email me for more information and spread the word. My hope is that this will be one of many needed communities like this that will be a model for several others networked around the globe.
