Thanksgiving Meal Preparations – The Primal Way

With holidays just around the corner I want to share some familiar Thanksgiving recipes with a new twist. This time of year is laden with feasts of traditional dishes that invoke the spirit of home, familiar comforts and the sweetness of rich desserts. What happens when you leave all that sugar behind, set down the booze, and let go of cooking your holiday meals? You start to feel more grounded and relaxed yet at the same time you might feel a little lonely. Our culture revolves around the importance of these celebrations and food has always brought people together.

What Is The Primal Diet?

The last few years, momentum has been building to revivify the Primal Diet Community. Several clients and students, some of whom, have been dedicated to the diet for 5 to even 25 years, have come together inspired by the newer, eager, younger Primal Dieters, and rekindled the torch of Aajonus. We are ready to pick up and carry the vision of optimal health forward now and into the future.

Sweet as Honey

Honey is probably the third most important component of the Primal Diet.

First and second being raw animal fats and raw animal proteins for building healthy new cells.

If I was stranded on a deserted island, the next food I would search for after wild caught animals and fish to augment my survival and thrival diet would be honey.

Our last Primal Diet Q&A was more of a support group. Primal Dieters young and old, new and seasoned shared their challenges and victories in staying connected to friends, family, and co-workers as well as dating and schooling.

Greenwashing of the Organic Food Movement

100 hundred years ago, there was no such thing as organic because most all farms and food were organic. It wasn’t until World War II when experiments with industrial fertilizers and GMO-foods hit the scene to “feed our troops”.

The War on Salt

Salt wasn’t a thing before the agricultural revolution 5000 years ago. Since, salt has made its debut, it has been the cause of war and destruction to human health and life on earth. How did this all come about?

Before humans began living in cities, we were mostly nomadic shepherds. Shepherds didn’t need salt to preserve their food because they just killed a sheep or milked it daily to get all the healthy live nutrition they needed. For those who think we need added salt in our diets for health, think twice.

If you were planning a trek across the Sahara Desert and could pick only one drink to take with you, what would you pick? It’s highly likely that your answer would be, “WATER, of course.” You may be shocked to find out that you made the wrong choice
