If you are wanting to do the Primal Diet 100%, you must include the hot baths. Most people have an accumulation of cauterized vegetable oil stored in their tissues from years of eating cooked oil which are basically hard plastics that are very difficult to excrete. Advanced Glycation Endproducts (AGE’s) build up and block the flow of circulation of blood and lymph drastically decreasing the boy’s ability to transport nutrients and oxygen into the cells and toxic waste out.
If these plastics collect in the heart, they become heart disease. If they collect in the nervous system and brain, they become MS, strokes, and Alzhemers. If they collect in the muscles, they become muscular dystrophy. If they collect in the joints, they become arthritis. If they collect in the digestive system, they become kidney and gallbladder stones. If they collect in the adipose tissue, they become lipomas. If they collect in the skin and lymph, they become cellulite and lymph-edema.
The popular treatments for these blockages are drugs, liposuction, and surgery.
Alternative treatments might be Chelation Therapy, Steam Therapy, Sauna Therapy, Radiation Therapy, Infrared Light Therapy, and Deep Tissue Massage. All of these options typically cause more damage than good.
Not only do these plastics collect and contribute to disease, but they also block of the circulation of nutrients into the tissue to build healthy new cells. You can eat Vonderfully nutritious raw meat and fat and if your tissues can’t receive the nutrients the progress to health will be thwarted.
Bathing in hot water allows the heat to penetrate deep into the tissues. Our bodies won’t allow us to submerge in hot water that is hot enough to kill cells. However, it will allow for the deeper tissue to remain more easily at a constant temperature. The other modalities listed above will melt hardened plastics, but they will also destroy healthy cells in the process. We can better regulate hot water baths to keep the treatment beneficial.
Ideally, we are shooting for a water temperature of 102 – 105 F. We start at the top limit and over time, the water will cool off. At these water temperatures, we are striving to keep the body outer tissues at 102 degrees for a 90-minutes baths twice a week. This is what it takes to loosen the plastics and begin to work away the years of build up. Shorter baths have the potential to allow the congestion to re-harden before it is moved out in the lymph system and out of your body.
If you do not have 20-30 pounds of fat storage to insulate you, we recommend that you start with just 45-minute sessions. The extra fat prevents cell damage during the detoxification process.
We do NOT recommend Steam or Dry Saunas as the higher temperatures can damage the nostrils, airways, and lungs.
Drink a blended mixture as a fruit meal during day: ¼ – 1 cup of raw unripe pineapple, 3 – 6 Tbsp raw coconut cream, 1 – 3 Tbsp raw unsalted butter, and 1 – 2 Tbsp raw dairy cream.
“For a proper cleanse get into a hot bath and be consuming enough milk and other things that will stabilize you. Pineapple is your best friend, NOT alkaline water; pineapple is still acidic, so it’s in harmony with the body. You want to keep your body acidic to break down plastic oils. You must remember that we are carnivores, not herbivores, so we want a 5.5 pH for blood, urine and saliva. We don’t want any alkaline event going on. If you’re eating cooked foods – that’s a different matter. You will need a lot of alkalization because you’re over acidic. When you’re eating everything, or most things cooked, the calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium which help clean the body of neutralized poisons and take the charge out of toxic ions of mercury, cadmium, and things like that, are heavily damaged”
Add to water 2-3 cups raw milk, 3 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar, and 2 Tbsp. sun-dried sea salt to the water. Or, add ½ cup sun-dried clay, 2 ounces raw apple cider vinegar and 3 Tbsp. raw coconut cream. The coconut cream is optional, but it is beneficial because it keeps the skin from drying because of the clay. Those ingredients in both bath formulas will help pull toxins from the skin and hold them in the water so they are not reabsorbed into the skin during the bath.
The sea salt will cause the body to get hotter and perspire. it has the tendency to break up the dead cells in the skin – it helps dissolve them. It also helps neutralize things like fluoride and chlorine in the waters.
Then the skin can absorb the calcium, the phosphorous, the magnesium and the potassium from the milk and the fat in the milk absorbs and isolates toxins in the water so they don’t get absorbed into your body.
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar has minerals like magnesium which will absorb into your skin and acids which will exfoliate and neutralize keeping your skin soft.
Clay, like the milk, will also provide healthy minerals to your skin and absorb toxins from your skin and the water.
Coconut cream lubricates and makes your skin soft.
If you have city water, let it run for a few minutes before plugging up the drain. The most chlorine comes out at the beginning, so let it go down the drain. I get the water as hot as possible to begin, then, add my natural neutralizers and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to off-gas the chlorine, neutralize the water, and let the temperature cool down to 107. When I enter the tub, my cooler body will drop the temp down to 105 quickly. I close the bathroom door, the shower curtain and sometimes place a board across the top of the tub to insulate which keeps the temperature hotter longer.
When the temperature drops below 102, it’s time to drain off some of the cooler water at the bottom of the tub and add new hotter water. You might need to do this 3-4 times in 90- minutes.
If you get too hot, sip on one of the recipes below or place your hand in a bowl of cold water.
You can also exit the tub, but for every minute you are out, you need to add ten more minutes on to the total length of your bath.
You will get very tired in the hot bath. Go ahead and go to sleep and take advantage of the rest. I also recommend taking your bath before bedtime. It will relax you and help you go to sleep easier.
The longer you can keep you body temperature up, the more effective you will be at removing the melted plastics. For best results, dry off and bundle up in warm clothing. Then, if you have the energy, go for a 30-45-minutes walk. If not, stay bundled up and crawl under the covers and go to sleep.
Aches and Stiffness are caused by accumulations of waste stored in the tissues, usually muscles and tendons. Waste collected in muscles and tendons results from congested lymphatic system and blockages in pores. Long hot baths gradually help relieve those symptoms. Drinking about 1-2 tsp. raw apple cider vinegar with 2 ounces raw milk and 2 ounces of whey 2-3 times daily can help remove accumulations from the muscles, and very gradually from tendons.
Back Pain – add plow yoga asana and spinal twists, eat papaya/pineapple & coconut cream, or Pain Formula.
Common Cold: (page 250 We Want to Live) As soon as fever begins, taking warm baths relaxes us and stimulates perspiration and circulation to cleanse and nourish us.
Edema – eating Grapefruit helps
Heavy Metal/industrial chemical chelation formula: 3/4 cup each of raw raspberries and blueberries, 1/2 cup raw cream, 2 ounces coconut cream, 1-3 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar, 4 Tbsp. raw lime juice, 1 Tbsp. raw lemon juice, 2 ounces pineapple (whole not juice) and 3-4 raw eggs to fill the jar to one quart and blended all together. Sip throughout the afternoon and evening, sometimes into the night.
Sometimes, to insure I absorb as many toxins as possible, I consume at least 1/2-inch cube of no-salt raw cheese while I sipped the smoothie. To help eliminate any of the toxins that may have made it to the stomach and intestines, I ate 1 or 2, 1/2-inch cubes of no-salt raw cheese every 20-30 minutes through most every day.
Itchy skin (pg 281 We Want to Live) Eating plenty of raw fat gradually lubricates the skin. Topically, blend ¼ cup of good mineral water, 1 small tomato, or ¼ cup of melon with 1 Tbsp. unsalted raw butter, unheated above 96º Fahrenheit fermented coconut oil or 1 Tbsp. stone pressed olive oil. To ensure that the oils are properly homogenized, blend until ingredients are warm to the touch. Pouring this mixture into a hot bath no hotter than the body is comfortable in and soaking for 15-30 minutes usually bring immediate relief. If suffering with hives, pour into a not too hot bath the mixture of tomato or melon blended with butter, coconut or olive oil (recipe given above), then add ½ cup sun-dried clay or corn starch, and soak in the bath for 20 minutes. That will draw the toxicity from the skin as well as soothe it. The warmth of the bath increases circulation and hydrates the skin which is usually dehydrated from excess adrenaline or drugs, pesticides and preservatives. [See Baths/Sauna/Steam, page 326].
Some people would be relieved of itchy skin simply by pouring 1/3 cup raw unpasteurized apple cider vinegar into a hot bath and soaking for 15-30 minutes. To lubricate the skin, add 3-4 Tbsp. of raw coconut cream to the bath water.
Stopping Detoxification Bath (pg. 255 We Want to Live) A person who needs temporary relief from a continually heavy painful detoxification may discourage that by drinking a blended mixture of: ¼ -1 cup unripe lime juice, 3 – 7 Tbsp. coconut cream, 1 – 6 tsp. dairy cream or 2 – 6 Tbsp. Avocado just before taking a 90-minute hot bath.
Water Births: (page 239 We Want to Live) Kneeling or squatting works with gravity, causing milder contractions and less stress. Birthing in a warm bath with 2 cups milk, 3 Tbsp. coconut cream (optional but keeps the skin from drying) and 3 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar helps prevent muscle cramps, keeps muscles as relaxed as possible, and eases bruising. Remaining in the bloody warm bath, lying back and holding child for at least 45 minutes soothes and relaxes the mother and eases baby’s entrance into the dry world. [See Pregnancy, page 336.]
NOT Before Tanning [sunbathing pg. 334] DO NOT shower/bathe the morning of a day of sunbathing which removes the body’s natural oils that are a natural sunblock. Rubbing a little unrefined cold- pressed, below 96° Fahrenheit coconut or peanut oil into the skin the night before promotes tanning and reduces the likelihood of burn.
Splenectomy Cautions -The spleen mainly regulates the body’s adaptability to cold and hot temperatures. It removes red blood cells from the blood stream to thin the blood and cool the body. It adds red blood cells to the blood to thicken the blood and heat the body. People who do not have spleens should ease into hot baths and drink more fluids prior to entering a hot bath.
Just a general precaution, exit your baths slowly as your blood pressure will be low and you might get dizzy.
Home-made healthy hot tub: Ofuro, a very nice looking Japanese wooden hot tub, which takes up about 5-6 square feet of the corner of a room. It can be inside rather than a hot tub outside which are costlier. It used to cost me $250/month to use my hot tub. If I kept it on 24/7, it was $375/month. The Ofuro has a pump, sand filter and heater in pocket hidden from view. They can be found at cedartubs.com, You can get a good, small water heater from other sources cheaper for about $300.
Then you get a Hayward sand filter for a small pool or outdoor hot tub and that’s $120. Then you get a small pump about ¼ HP. That’s all it takes. Have a plumber come and put it together. Remember your filter goes before the heater so you don’t plaque it up with dead cells. If you’re on city water, you’ve got the sand filter and you can add vinegar and sea salt. The vinegar will keep the sea salt from corroding the heating element so use together.
Salt chlorinators: Use rock salt or sea salt which are not sterilized and chlorinated like your typical table salt. An electrical charge goes through a commercial salt chlorinator and it converts some of that salt into chlorine that is non-chloroform vapor producing.
Three-Stage Filtration System
1. Paper Filter – Filters down to 5 microns (The paper has toxic properties itself, hence at the first stage)
2. Coconut Activated Carbon Filter Media
3. Sand or Activated Filter Media (Ground Glass) – Filters down to 1 micron.
KDF Filters – Copper & Zinc granules can be placed before the carbon filter to filter out heavy metals and extend the life of the carbon filter.
Ozone doesn’t clean the water, it just keeps the algae from growing. Algae, by the way, is not a bad thing. If algae grows that means the water can sustain life!
Clay – Clay will clog up your filter and burn out your motor
Install the motor 6-feet away from the tub to avoid EMFs while bathing.
The PH should be 7.2 to 7.6. You can measure this with a common pool PH test kit.
Aajonus was against any massage that wasn’t so very gentle that it would tickle. For the most part, I agree that moving tissue with hard plastics can be difficult with manual therapy.
However, in my experience as a massage therapist and Primal Diet coach, scar tissue can benefit from the combination of heat, lubrication, friction, and movement. Muscle fibers that are stuck in contraction can let go easier with heat, lubrication and trigger point therapy which supports healing. If these are not performed with awareness, more harm can be done. But, with an experienced practitioner, healing can be accelerated, range of motion and circulation restored, and pain alleviated.
